Our academy offers a short course in Laser Safety Training on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan, Sunshine Coast, and Sydney.This laser safety course teaches a therapist to perform laser treatments confidently and safely in accordance to health and safety regulations.Technologies such as laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) will always carry inherent risks such as eye injury or skin burns. As a result it is important that operators, owners, and associated staff and personal have a minimum level of expertise and education in regards to the hazards and safeguards associated with their use in order to protect themselves against exposure and possible injury as well as minimising risk of litigation.This course is recommended to be studied together with HLTIN402C – Maintain Infection Control Standards in Office Practice Settings (both certificates are prerequisites required by QLD Radiation Health for ‘User Licence’).

Course Duration
The Laser Safety Course and Maintain Infection Control Standards in Office Practice Settings are run together every fortnight from 9am to 4pm Mondays and Tuesdays.Other arrangements may be available if you are unable to attend classes on these days. Please contact a memeber of our team to discuss.

None for entry into this courseIf you wish to apply for your learner ‘User Licence’ through QLD Radiation then you must also complete the Maintain Infection Control Standards in Office Practice Settings prior to application.
Outcome
On successful completion of this course, graduates will receive government certification as a ‘Laser Safety Officer’ (upon passing of L.S.O theory exam).
